  1. Thank you, Allan, for the stunning views and hiking through the beautiful forest and a lovely meeting with a very cute squirrel. The winding path in the forest was just asking to be followed to an even better view across the valley…

  5. The area along the long and winding road is very sparse. The cute squirrel is quite a character 🙂

    1. A lot of trees have been removed from this trail to prevent future wildfires close to Jasper. The squirrels are real actors, for sure. Happy Wednesday Rosaliene. Allan

    1. Walking in nature heals the body and the mind. This little walk being right out our back door was perfect, but this time we added a variable. I should have mentioned that somebody’s dog had covered the red chairs in mud so much we did not dare sit down. What responsible dog person would not have cleaned that up. The squirrels always provide comedic relief. Thanks for reading Lynette. Allan

      1. There are good dog owners and bad ones, unfortunately. I did see one irresponsible owner get reamed out a couple of days ago for not picking up an enormous pile of poop left by his enormous dog. He didn’t notice that bylaw was watching!

    1. The benefit of most of these Jasper day hikes is that there are several routes to choose from. We chose a different route back and were rewarded. Happy Thursday. Allan

  8. It’s always nice to come across a pair of the Red Chairs. The fall colours in Jasper look lovely. Cute pictures of the squirrel.

    1. It was too bad that somebody’s dog had muddied them up. Jasper in the fall is beautiful. Happy Thursday Linda. Allan

    1. We were glad we chose this route back to PLB. It was beautiful and only just a bit horsey. The squirrels were so curious about us, but still shy, just as it should be. Often, we would spot them chasing each other around the forest floor like a couple of kids. Happy Friday Aiva. Allan
