  1. Honestly, Allan, when you have mountains, forest, water, and stunning views in every direction, you are in paradise on earth! As always, your photographic talent is to the fore. I love the trunks of the trees, the ducks, and the flowers. I love all the details, and there were so many!

    1. Happy to oblige with all these components of nature’s wonders Joanna. This hike is always a delight, no matter the direction and while repetitive it has so many different looks. Have a delightful day. Allan

  3. Beautiful pictures, Allan. It’s such a gorgeous park and you always capture that sense so well in your photography. The mergansers always look like they could use a comb. Cheers.

    1. Thanks Lynette. We do love our mountains and hikes and this one is right up there. I should have lent my comb to the mergansers. Oh wait, I don’t have one. Wait until you see the crested grebes from NZ. Happy Tuesday Lynette. Allan

  6. Lovely set of shots. It didn’t look very busy or crowded from your pictures. So sounds like your plan to stay near PLB worked out well.

    1. These trails are underutilized wildland trails. Couple that with visiting in off season and they are the perfect place to hike if you like to dawdle. Have a great Wednesday Linda. Allan
